Shashwat came to Georgia Tech as a PhD student in 2017, and started working with Prof. Wardi on Autonomous Vehicles and tracking based control. Later, Shashwat joined Prof. Weitz’s group to apply Control and Optimization Theory to biological systems. Shashwat research is titled ‘Endogenous and Exogenous Control of Virus-Host Dynamics’. He has explored two areas -(i) how lysis-lysogeny probability affects temperate fitness and (ii) applying external control during a pandemic to support health and economic outcomes
