How does awareness of an epidemic influence the number of fatalities? Our paper exploring an awareness-driven behavior model of Covid-19 was recently published in PNAS. Read more here.
Look for our article in Nature Human Behavior
In a truly collaborative effort with Aroon Chande, Seolha Lee, Mallory Harris, King (Quan) Nguyen, Stephen Beckett, Troy Hilley, Clio Andris, and Joshua Weitz, our Nature Human Behaviour article was published, outlining the model and step towards production of our Covid-19 Risk Assessment Dashboard.
Look for Daniel’s publication in ISMEJ
Daniel Muratore co-authored a new publication in ISMEJ. This study examined the day-night pigment budgeting of marine phytoplankton, identifying night as an important recovery phase to rebuild photoreactive pigments that are degraded by UV-radiation during the day.
Look for our paper in ISME J
Dr. Stephen Beckett and Prof. Joshua Weitz contributed to a new study published in ISME J that measured the infected fraction of Prochlorococcus cells in the North Pacific ocean. The iPolony method suggests that less than 2% of Prochlorococcus cells in the surface ocean are infected at any time by T4- or T7-like viruses, which […]
Look for our paper in NatureMedicine
Several members of the group and our collaborators published an article in Nature Medicine where we modeled shield immunity. With shield immunity, Covid-19 recovered individuals (with antibodies against Covid-19) could be deployed as focal points for safer interactions with sensitive populations. A shield immunity dashboard is in progress and will be forthcoming in January 2021.
