localcovid19now: an updated software to map local Covid-19 case data published in Journal of Open Source Software

localcovid19now is an R package that allows users to process and map Covid-19 infections in subnational locations using a variety of data including population estimates, Covid-19 case data and spatial geometry in order to better estimate Covid-19 risk. localcovid19now is an extension of the Covid-19 event Risk Tool.

Professor Weitz, Ph.D., and Stephen Beckett, Ph.D., Quan (King) Nguyen, along with Aroon Chande, Freyja Brandel-Tanis, and Clio Andris from Georgia Tech were involved in this project.
